Justin Trudeau violates House rules

TORONTO – Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has violated the House rules by bringing in food into its chambers. Conservative MP Scott Reid called out the PM when he was spotted sneaking in a chocolate bar. The rules clearly states members may refresh themselves during debates with water. Besides water, nothing else is allowed in the chambers during debate. The prime minister admitted without denial that he broke the House rules on bringing in food into the chambers during debates. He admitted, ” It was a chocolate bar. I apologize.”

The violation of the rule occurred during he marathon voting session that was triggered after the Liberals defeated a Conservative motion to have Jody Wilson-Raybould, the former justice minister to be asked to return to testify before the Justice Committee about the SNC-Lavalin corruption prosecution. With the majority defeat of the motion, the Conservatives introduced a flurry of motions as a form of protest and to force the Liberals to reconsider their position.
